where did u get this from AoM:TT is long dead man these must be like a year old stats.... Nomad.
Response from holy_guacamole . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 11:26UT
Probably from AOM Heaven. GOGO AOM:TT There is still 1700+ people online at any 1 time. Not WC3 numbers, but as long as it keeps selling, there will be a constant influx of new players into the system.
Response from Mystic_Nomad . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 11:38UT
4 Rise Of Nations - Microsoft $36 hahahaha RoN expansion is out man and thats definitely much better than RoN original by review so if they still rating RoN that high they need to update a bit more often.... Nomad.
Response from mystic horror . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 11:46UT
ESO still has a 1500++ player database and 2000+ usually on evenings
Response from Mystic Llama . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 11:50UT
Nomad these aren't very old at all considering city of heroes recently came out.
Response from Mystic Ghost . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 12:00UT
AOM is dead, 1500-2000 people online is very little. Thousands of people buy the game, but only a few play online.
Response from Mystic Llama . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 12:27UT
ild like to remind u that online numbers never went over 2300 or so. So when its at 2000 its really not that bad at all.
Response from holy_guacamole . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 12:36UT
Ghost can't pass up an opportunity to Slag AOM. lol. You'd almost think it was something personal....????
Response from TT . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 12:53UT
there are no wc3s bc they are sold out. Plus the chart shows people are buying Age of Mythology, not the expansion pack which is Titan, that doesnt help the online community.
Response from Mystic hawk . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 12:54UT
Ghost - these figures are from last week. Agreed that not that many are online - but ESO online figures have been continously increasing since the last patch - new people are coming on-line and some that left are coming back. AoM TT is alive and kicking and most importantly ..... lost lots of fun
Response from Mystic BriToN . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 13:15UT
How are the stats worked out? Are they Dutch sales, Worldwide sales, Number of people online. I mean most of these charts are made by a specific company, so they have no idea how the worldwide sales are doing, only their own. And perhaps they do not stock many new titles.... Just a thought
Response from Mystic Ghost . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 13:15UT
Yeah well I have nothing against AOM. But it is something personal vs ESO! I played forever to have a good rank in vanilla and then when I finally got 1800, AOT came out(a good thing). But when AOT came out they changed something about the way ESO accepts connections from routers and Ive never been able to connect since then. Lots of hard work for nothing. ESO backstabbed me :(
Response from Mystic Ghost . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 13:17UT
Btw I was slagging ESO not AOM. My point was thousands of people buy the game but only a few play online because of ESO. I loved playing AOM when I was able to.
Response from holy_guacamole . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 13:34UT
Thanx 4 the clarification Ghost. I can understand why u'd be p^$$ed at ESO. Have u tried lately to play AOT? Chinese, Tangra or Nomad seem pretty keen & may have a solution for your problem.
Response from Mystic Ghost . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 14:46UT
Yup, I still cant get on. Not gonna make another thread, Ive posted before, no one knows whats wrong. I dont feel like playing AOT now anyway. Anyways back on topic where are those stats from?
Response from mystic ratboy . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 16:47UT
Im also angry. On any interview of Ensemble staff, they always say how happy they are about the huge success of aom, how much they sold, etc. They said their bread and butter is the single player market. Very true.
Response from Mystic WaTeRz . . . Thursday 15 July 2004 - 19:32UT
I can relate ghost, recently Eso have kicked me off and nothign is allowing me bak on,firewall changes patch's installign both games again and again,I sent countless e-mails to ESO and no reply,,Where as microsoft have(but to no Avail to a possible solution) Eso are the people leeting Down a great game, And i hope AOE3 is placed in a server like the Zone

Response from Mystic Catboy . . . Friday 16 July 2004 - 02:16UT
We can't play on ESO with a Microsoft router!!! Only way is to connect PC directly to the DSL modem to log on ESO :( What really bothers me is that this only happens in ESO, we can play fine with router in all other games. ES need better programmers.

| Interesting to hear all thos eproblomes from you guys. I never had any and if I go to the forums on MFO etc not that many people complain that they can nlot connect to ESO (lots of other complaints - smurfs, OOS ete ect). So we as a clan must be "overproportinally" unlucky ..... Briton - re the list. | Hawk MFO are for fans, ppl that can't even connect to ESO don't even bother posting on fan site, cos they can't play online. (I never had problems connecting ESO with dialup, but it lags a lot) Good thing that they are making their own official forums. Anyway is hard to come back to ESO when u can find 4v4 rated games on Bnet in less than a minute. It just takes too long to find a good team game in ESO. |
Response from Mystic Hawk . . . Saturday 17 July 2004 - 05:48UT
nah catboy - it takes me max 2 min to find a game on Eso either a 2 vs 2 or a 3 vs 3. Sometimes the ratings dont match 100% but that is o.k. Re complaining - I just seem to be the only lucky one as I have no problems on ESO - at least not more then if I play BFV, Medieval Total War etc online. Maybe Bnet really is the best - I can not judge as I have not played it, but ESO is not worse compared to the "average" internet play experience

yup definitely.... ZOne kicks ESO ass all time... Nomad.
Response from mystic korean . . . Monday 19 July 2004 - 02:08UT
4500+ players on Zone doesnt count. You can open 8 windows in 8 different rooms and you'll count as 8 people.
Response from Mystic zatcher . . . Thursday 22 July 2004 - 11:43UT
i continue to play on ESO for all its faults it has so it must have something good that keeps me coming back.
Response from FOPT_Trial65 . . . Friday 23 July 2004 - 15:41UT
